Leveling up your character

There are various ways to increase your character's level in Voodoominis, like going through quests given by NPC and completing jobs which you can easily find in the game.
However, the most common way is through a battle without losing.
Always find a group to battle with so you will not lose a fight easily.
Better experience points will be given to groups with level closest to total monster group level.

Example of a typical battle

A weapon has 10 damage. The resulting damage will range from 1 to 10 with a buffer of (+/- buffer value). This damage will be considered as the character's base damage which will be further aggregated depending on opponent's stats and element resistance.

Voodoo spell attacks are the most effective offense moves.
The spell damage done by a character depends on his/her stats in relation to charm type and the move being made. Just like weapon or fist damage, the spell damage will be aggregated by opponent's (monsters) protection stats and element resistance. Buffer values will be inserted as well.

For example:
Attack Charm character with stats:
attack charm Attack - 50
protection charm Protection - 10
love charm Love - 5
luck charm Luck - 5

Uses Punch of Fire 1 - fire element spell / base damage 2.
Monster with fire resistance of -10.

Thus the character's base spell damage, without considering opponent's protection stats is: (charm stats by move type + spell damage - opponent element resistance (%) (without protection stats in play) ) + buffer value

If a Love Charm character tries to do the same move with the same spell it will not be as high. Naturally, you should add the stats depending on your charm type as equipments you need when your level is higher for your charm depends on those stats.
The equipment will add a temporary bonus value to your stats too as the equipment level increases which as mentioned, affects greatly on your stats! This is why Love Charm plays a major role in... healing! A Love Charm character uses his/her healing spells, the recovery can restore your HP and VC to full!

Love Charm character with stats:
attack charm Attack - 5
protection charm Protection - 10
love charm Love - 50
luck charm Luck - 5
Uses Spell Heal 1:- holy element spell / recover 2 HP.

Healing done approx: 52 points! (+/- buffer value)

A Luck Charm character does not follow this at all. The charm type would probably already give you an idea that this is for the risk-takers!
Damage or healing done by this charm type will be from nothing to anything which depends closely on the luck stats.
Let's see an example:

Luck Charm character with stats:
attack charm Attack - 5
protection charm Protection - 10
love charm Love - 5
luck charm Luck - 50

Uses Spell Heal 1:- holy element spell / recover 2 HP.

Healing done ranges from 1 ~ 50

Uses Punch of Fire 1 - fire element spell / base damage 2.
Monster with fire resistance of -10.

Attack done ranges from 1 ~ 50 + 2 - (element resitance) + (+/- buffer value)

Defense

The Protection Charm have the best defense and gives great boost to the team. When equipped with a shield, this charm type can be almost immuned to opponent's damage which is on the same level or lower than them.

Defense depends not only on protection stats points but luck stats points as well! Which means you cannot avoid putting those precious stats into your protection and luck stats.

NOTE: Your are totally defenseless from a critical hit! Critical hits depends largely on how powerful the monsters are.
